Hydrologics was originally founded in 2002 under the name NO-DES®—Neutral Output Discharge Elimination System—with one mission: Eliminate the water waste and inefficiency of conventional hydrant flushing. Traditional methods discharge millions of gallons of treated drinking water each year. We knew there had to be a better way.

That vision led to the development of the Zero Discharge Flushing System: a closed-loop, trailer-mounted unit rated to 150 psi that filters and recirculates water while flushing. The system allows chlorine injection during operation, making it possible to clean, disinfect, and refresh water mains simultaneously—with no water lost and no discharge into the environment.

Municipalities using Zero Discharge Flushing can flush their entire water distribution system annually—something that typically takes 3 to 5 years with conventional flushing.
